Pay:
Starting at $20/hour (paid weekly)
+ Bonuses ALL employees receive bonuses based on our sales, regardless of position (must work two months to receive bonuses).

Tuesday-Saturday
8:30am - delivery completion around 5:30pm

Resort Resale Fine Furniture Consignment is always looking for hard-working pickup/delivery personnel to add to our growing staff. In this role, it will be your job to help us pick up consignor’s furniture from their residence or storage facility and to move our customers’ furniture and items from one location to another by use of our box truck or van. The key to this role is being able to move furniture safely and without damaging it. To do that, you will need to wrap the furniture in protective material provided and use caution while loading, unloading, and driving it.

Your job will also require you to maintain an inventory that tracks all of the items that you’re moving for a customer. It’s essential that this is as accurate as possible, as doing so will ensure that we don’t misplace or forget anything during our moves.

Additional duties include working as a sales associate in the store/showrooms. Helping customers with questions, loading furniture into customer vehicles, adding/removing lighting from the ceiling, hanging rugs and artwork from the walls.

To do well as a mover/sales associate with us, you will need to be physically fit, detail-oriented, punctual, and professional at all times. If you meet these qualifications, then we’d love to hear from you! Please fill out the Employment Form above.

Responsibilities:

Properly load and unload furniture and other items (decor, art, etc.) and wrap furniture and items in protective material. Ensure that no items are damaged during the moves that you work on.
Follow and maintain moving inventory lists.
Lift and move heavy objects from one location to another.
Set up the items in their new location.
Courteous and professional attitude towards customers and other staff members.
Help customers and staff in the store/showrooms. Eventually learning the POS and inventory system.

Requirements:

Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving heavy objects repeatedly throughout the day.
A valid driver’s license and clean driving record would be advantageous.
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not required.
Proficient in moving and utilizing a 12ft. ladder, use of furniture dollies, ratchet straps and hand-held tools.
Drug and alcohol free. All employees are required to complete a pre-hire drug and alcohol test. Random drug and alcohol testing is ongoing as a condition of employment.

A typical work day at Resort Resale:

Work flow at Resort Resale can vary from day to day, but here is a typical day as a Delivery Driver & Mover/Sales Associate.
Arrive to work at 8:30am. Prepare the store for opening by moving sold furniture to our warehouse and adding furniture to the showrooms from the warehouse. Loading the truck with the deliveries for the day. Plan and follow the daily schedule for deliveries and pick-ups. Communicate arrival times with customers to ensure timely and smooth deliveries and pick-ups. Properly tag all picked up items with the consignor’s identification number. Return to store with the day’s pick-ups and unload into our warehouse. Once the delivery and pick-up route is completed for the day, all employees are expected to work in the showrooms to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service and general help. The store closes at 5pm and all employees help to close down, clean up and secure the showrooms and warehouse.
